United Relief Force Foundation
The United Relief Force Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in 2007 by a group of students as a way to provide assistance those who are in need of humantarian aid, emergency response and disaster relief.
Imagine witnessing children desperately
search through trash cans, to find their
next meal. Imagine seeing a family with a newborn sleep on the doorstep of a church because they have nowhere else to go.
Imagine watching an eight year old girl
walk for miles so that she can bring home
clean water for her family.
All of these things were witnessed by Guy Chevalier, Founder of United Relief Force Foundation, while revisiting Haiti in 2006. Guy, who was born and lived in Haiti until his move to the United States as a child, had totally forgotten how it was like to not have food to eat, a bed to sleep and clean water to drink. Guy’s trip to Haiti was an eye opening experience that revealed to him the reality of Haiti, and many countries like it. With this said, when Guy arrived back to the United States he was determined to do something about the devastation that continued to plague his native country. In response, Guy along with a group of students created the United Relief Force Foundation to help those in need, not only in Haiti but anywhere where help is needed.
