Haiti Supply Drive
United Relief Force Foundation is still seeking supplies in our efforts to provide relief to the Haitian people. Some 16 months later the aftermath of the Januray 12, 2010 earthquake has left the people still in need of these supplies.
We are looking for the following things to be donated: Non perishable Food, Water, Towels, and Hygiene Products, Health kits, Medical Supplies or Medications, Soap, Sheets, Washcloths, Clean Clothes, Dishwashing Liquid, Antibiotic Ointment, blankets, feminine hygiene supplies, baby formula, diapers as well as other items that would aid the Haitian people.
Haiti Educational Program
To Be Announced
United Relief Force Foundation volunteers plan to return to Haiti with 15 students from various colleges in the Florida area, to bring awareness to the Haitian youth about serious issues prevalent in the Haitian community. Volunteers will address important topics such as: the importance of education, HIV/AIDS prevention, STD prevention, sanitation, and nutrition.
As rebuilding in Haiti will take years, currently there are over 400,000 Haitian children who are left parentless by the earthquake. Not only do these orphans have no one to care for them, they are not receiving any form of education. With this said, this project is needed now more than ever. In addition, we will provide food, clothing, and shelter for many of these orphans, who are left with nowhere to go.
